Anna House's newest enrichment program "Healthy Little Chefs" began last month with a special project in the preschool classroom. In this cooking program, which includes all children at Anna House, even the youngest infants, exposes children to healthy eating and new and exciting foods.
With olympics fast approaching, the preschool children made an edible torch. We called it a "fruit cone" made with different fruits cut by the children themselves!
The children who participated in the cooking experience then were able to serve their friends the healthy snack. They also looked at pictures of real olympic torches and learned all about the torch relay. It was an exciting day in the preschool classroom!
